My name is Dan and I am the Chief Mechanic / race car operations manager at Gulf Racing. With a degree in Motorsports Engineering from Oxford Brooks University I have been able to gain extensive experience in a variety of race series as an engineer, team strategist, data engineer and No.1 mechanic.
I began my journey into motorsport at the age of 15 as a mechanic for a local team competing in the British VW Cup championship. From there I began to develop my skills and understanding within the industry, working my way up the motorsport ladder with different teams and manufactures such as Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari and now Porsche with my current position at Gulf racing.
My duties within the team include overseeing and managing our amazing group of technicians that help prepare and run the race car both in the workshop and on event; part and lifing management of the race car; adhering to technical and sporting regulations; freight organisation and planning as well as car controlling throughout an event in pitlane.
Away from the day job I am a keen karter. I enjoy travelling to my home town in Devon to see the family and spending time on the beautiful beaches there, but more importantly adore spending time with my beautiful family having recently become a father.
